Jump Line and rail line Re-Shape!

The last couple of days have dropped 2 feet of fresh pow to our beautiful mountain. Treeline was loaded and we are going to take advantage of all that new snow. So over the next couple of days you might notice some changes going on in the park. It all started with the new up / down box being installed last week and a couple changes to the upper half of the park this week. The next section of the park going thru a change is going to be the jump line. It will be the same line for the most part except for the landings 2 and 3 are getting longer. (These are like giant wind fences and they catch a lot of snow, so it's time.) During this re-shape we are also going to be making some changes to the left (west) side rail line. Hope you enjoy the new features! We are looking to be done with all of the changes by the weekend. Thanks!

The Treeline terrain park opening has been pushed back one day because of all of the new snow we received. Friday the 24th looks like the day.

Snowmaking ends with cold blast!

With a very cold night (last night), snowmaking in the park finishes strong! These whales of snow are HUGE! We will start pushing snow tomorrow starting at 7am! Keep up to date on the park's progress all through the week to catch a glimpse of whats in store for this years Treeline Park.

High Divide Terrain Park is in full swing. There video up shortly.
We just closed off the Treeline park to make snow in there. The piles are growing fast. We should be in there to start pushing the park next week. Treeline Park opening: TBA

Terrain Park Update: 1/9/10 Treeline adds 2 new jumps!

Tomorrow the Treeline Terrain Park will be opening to new jumps on the bottom left side of the park. These two jumps will be our largest jumps in the park this year. There will be more rails, boxes, and bonks to be added in Treeline as we get more snow. Also, the High Divide Terrain Park was re-shaped last night with some new jib features. An up box, new down box, a longer flat box, and a shorter flat box.

Terrain Park Update: 11/29/09 - High Divide Terrain Park Open!

On Thanksgiving Day, a very progressive “High Divide Terrain Park” opened with 4 new boxes/rails and 2 new jumps. Look for the new setup on Sundance. The park has 2 flat boxes, a down box, and the down rail. 2 of the boxes are new to A-Basin this year; a longer flat box and a longer down box. 2 jumps at the end of the park complete the new setup.
We need some help from Mother Nature for “Treeline Terrain Park” so pray for snow and some cool weather.

Terrain Park Update - High Divide Closed 11/24 &11/25

The Terrain Park will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday as we are building High Divide on the Sundance trail. We hope to open back up on Thanksgiving day.

Terrain Park Update: 11/9/09 New Rail and Box

Last night we added a small flat rail and a new down box to the High Divide Terrain Park. That makes 6 features! Do your snow dance for more snow so we can get Sundance open and some jumps going for a future High Divide Park.

Terrain Park Update: 10/18/09

Wow, what a great opening (earliest ever!) We hope all of you have had fun the last two weekends. We’re definitely excited about being able to ride this early. Last night we added a new “15’ Box” into the park and also reshaped the “culvert bonk.” Have fun out there and remember Respect gets respect; from the lift-line through the park!

Terrain Park Update: 10/7/09

Come up to the park and hang out with Burton and the A-Basin Park Crew on Friday October 9th, 2009. The snowmakers gave us plenty of snow to work with this year and that means fun features! Opening day will include something for everyone. Four new features will be installed the first day, a Flat-Down single barrel, a Picnic table, a new Culvert tap, and a small box. Two other features you might recognize will be the 30’ down rail and 15’ down rail. See you there!

Terrain Park Update: 9/10

Are you EXCITED, I know we are! The 09-10 season is fast approaching. Before you know it, we all will be making turns and sliding some features in the park.

Don’t feel intimidated to enter the park this year. This year’s opening park will have features for EVERYONE. Some new small boxes and rails will be part of the opening day plan for the beginners and other skiers/riders trying to improve on new tricks. We also haven’t forgot about the very skilled and talented skiers/riders wanting to “up their game” on opening day. New larger features have been fabricated this summer and are ready to debut. No early pictures for you! You’ll have to come check out these “RAD” features in person.
